GEMPC Notice of Election of Officers for 2026

Subject: Election of Coop Officers 2026
Date: 13 January 2026

 

The Election of Cooperative Officers for 2026 will be held on February 13, 2026 (Friday) via Zoom.

The Election Committee will be accepting applications for candidacy or nominations by an individual member for the following positions, covering a two-year term period:

  1. Three (3) Directors (Members of the Board of Directors)

  2. Three (3) Members of the Election Committee

  3. Three (3) Members of the Audit and Inventory Committee

 

Qualifications and Disqualifications of Candidates

(Policy on the Conduct of Electoral Process – Item #7)

  1. He/She is a member in good standing and meets the qualifications enumerated in Item #6 of the policy;

  2. He/She has been an active member for at least five (5) years for Board of Directors positions and three (3) years for committee positions;

  3. He/She is not delinquent in his/her obligations;

  4. He/She must not have any conflicting interest with the business of the Cooperative;

  5. He/She must not be related to any appointed or elected officer within the third civil degree by affinity or consanguinity.

  1. Certificate of Candidacy

  2. Nomination Form

  3. Undertaking

 

Other Requirements

  1. One (1) 2” x 2” recent photo with white background

 

Timetable

  1. Start of filing of candidacy – January 24, 2026

  2. Last day of filing of candidacy – January 30, 2026 (until 5:00 PM)

  3. Posting of qualified candidates – February 3, 2026

  4. Campaign period – February 8 to 12, 2026

  5. General Assembly / Election Day – February 13, 2026

Per policy, the official campaign period shall not be more than five (5) days and shall end not less than one (1) day before the election.

The Policy on Election of Coop Officers will be posted on the Cooperative’s bulletin board for reference.

Kindly submit the Certificate of Candidacy to any member of the Election Committee via the email address mentioned above.
